What do you do ? ( blog marathon post no. 5)

Today is the first day of a new month, I have lots of expectations from this month.  I am trying hard to overcome negative thoughts bubbling up in my thinking pool, I am wishing and praying hard  that this month builds up as a peaceful, happy and fruitful month for one and all.

Some days are smooth and shining like a pearl, some days transforms into dark tunnels and gobbles us up and we waver and stumble and navigate our way out of it with great difficulty. I usually overcome such days with prayer and positive thinking but my worrier mind keeps on going back to the issues which is stuck at the back of my mind and keeps bothering me throughout the day.

What is your way of overcoming such days, do you pray? Listen to music or read a book and does your mind also go back to the issue time and again like mine or you are able to forget the issue , at least temporarily, tell me? May be  I can take some cues from you.

  1. Hmm prayer is definitely a good way to keep away negative thoughts. Here are a few I end up doing
    1. Count my blessings
    2. Think of pleasant stuff
    3. Get out of the current scene and take a walk or a coffee break
    4. Meet / call someone positive
    5. Engage myself into some activity that takes me away from the thoughts that bog me down. gardening, a good massage or read a book.

    Hope it helps ;-)

  2. It is always a good idea to pray when you are feeling low and having negative thoughts. I also like to listen to songs which make me think about the good times in my life. Another thing you can do is read a book and get engrossed in the character so that you will be totally diverted from your life and your worries. Hope this helps!

  3. nothing beats prayers and positive thinking. you are on the right track there. doing something productive gets me out of these moods. maybe help someone else. finding something to laugh about also helps. hang in there ss. change is the only thing that is constant in our lives. this too shall pass.
