Lotus feet

Marigolds showered on your Lotus feet

gleams gold and orange colors  infinite


pools of kindness that  shine in  your eyes

calm my frayed nerves like drizzles of ice


your beautiful flutes soul stirring tune

is akin to soothing hues of moon


fragrant  butter and cool milk platter

is offered to you amidst chaos and clatter


It rains hope, love and peace on my heart

erases each of my pain and all the hurt


envelopes me in a fog of serenity

I am indebted forever to your divinity


do not vanish  in between, leaving me alone

grappling with life's turns unknown


please hold my hand and show the way

or to your abode  just take  me away ....

Apart from the blogathon that I have jumped into there is another very important issue (!) which has been circling inside my head for long and hold your breath, it is about getting hold of a good yeast (!!) Love for lanterns...post no. 16

    Image courtesy : Internet.  M y love for lanterns stem from my childhood memories. Lanterns are an integral part of that memory because we lived in a house in a small town in Kerala, this place had no electricity at that time, but we never ever actually felt the lack of it.   The dim light of the rustic lantern which we kept on the ‘poomukham’ (or raised verandah in English) shall remain fresh in my memory forever. We studied under that light, we prayed and played pranks on each other under that light.   Those lanterns and the luminous light emanating from it was witness to some of  the bestest years of my life.   These are some images which I heart, including the header of my blog,  also I have a small collection of miniature lanterns with me.    This mini post is dedicated to my love for lanterns.
